About Extra Special People
For 40 years, Extra Special People, Inc. (or as we like to call it, ESP) has created places of no apologies for families of people with disabilities—where squeals are celebrated, hands are high-fived, and adults proudly put on their Java Joy aprons to go to work.
In Northwest Georgia, 1 in 6 people is living with a disability. At ESP, we are a place where families with disabilities can find a place of relief and respite. We have tailored programs, including summer camp that celebrate their unique abilities. All of this is made possible each year through the more than 5,000 volunteer hours and support from our local community.
